Copy Cat Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing

I am always looking for ways to go homemade and cut costs at the grocery store. A couple of weeks ago I checked out a book from my local library called “Top Secret Recipes Unlocked” by Todd Wilbur. I love this book! I found so many Recipes from chain restaurants that I can now copy and make at home.

This is my first attempt from the book. Making my own Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. It tastes just like the store bought version at half the cost. I already had everything I needed to make this in my pantry, which I’m sure most of you probably do to. The best part, it only took 10 minutes to make from start to finish.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Mayo (I used Hellman’s)
1/2 cup Buttermilk
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Accent Flavor Enhancer
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
pinch dried thyme

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Cover and chill over night before serving.

That’s it! Easy huh? If you decide to give this one a try for yourself, please come back and gush about how much you like it, lol. :) or share the love and Pin it!

FYI for all of you out there with ADD/ADHD kids (husbands), or tend to migraines… You need to skip the Accent. Mainly MSG… I don’t know if Mrs Dash has an alternative or not but would be worth investigating
