Starting on Sept 16th, Walgreens is doing away with their Register Rewards program and replacing it with a Rewards Card.
Starting 9/2, you will be able to sign up online at Walgreens.com/Balance or sign up in stores starting 9/16. You will then earn points that can be redeemed for purchases both in-store and online.
5,000 points = $5
10,000 points = $10
18,000 points = $20
30,000 points = $35
40,000 points = $50
One good thing about this new program is that the points won’t expire as long as you remain active by shopping at Walgreens at least once every six months and redeeming your points within three years.
I’m willing to keep a open mind and see how it works out.
Dang. That’s gonna make for some crappy deals coming up. However, I’m guessing they’re gonna offer “bonus points” for purchasing special items.
