Disney’s Frankenweenie Opens Nationwide Oct.5th

This past Monday night, my boys and I were invited to a pre-screening of the new Disney 3D Movie“Frankenweenie”.
My 12 year old is a big Tim Burton fan and they were sooo excited for the chance to see this movie.

Synopsis:
From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Review:
Overall, we all enjoyed the movie. I thought the story line was well written and I love the Science aspect. Anything that gets the boys thinking and asking questions is a good time investment in my opinion.
It’s a great movie to get in the spirit of Halloween!
My boys are 11 and 12, which is the perfect age for this type of movie. If you have younger kids who are sensitive there maybe a part or two that is scary to them, just so you know in advance. My youngest really got upset when (SPOILER ALERT) Mr. Whiskers, the cat, turned into a bat and wasn’t going to make it back to his former cat self.
The 3D was just fantastic! I am a 3D fan anyway, so I’m easy to please in that department.
The 3 of us give “Frankenweenie” Thumbs up!

Frankenweeie 3D Opens Nationwide on October 5th. Rated PG
